Frequently asked questions

Your questions about general physiotherapy

The first session is mainly an opportunity to assess the situation. The practitioner conducts an interview followed by a physical examination. This assessment stage is essential for building a tailored, effective and safe programme.

Absolutely. Post-operative recovery, or recovery after a sports-related injury, is very much part of general physiotherapy's scope — the goal is always to restore the body's functions.

For safety reasons, it's important that a surgeon or doctor be consulted before starting a post-operative physiotherapy programme.

General and specialised physiotherapy treatments are covered by basic insurance (LAMal), when carried out on a valid medical prescription.
